Scholars attend over 80 colleges and universities across the country, including some of the most selective ones. The Barron’s Profiles of American Colleges uses a six-level selectivity index to categorize colleges and universities on a scale from “Noncompetitive” to “Most Competitive.” The index is based on their admission selectivity, median SAT/ACT scores, high school class rank, and high school GPA of enrolled students. Over 60% of Cooperman Scholars have attended institutions considered Highly or Most Competitive, the top two index levels, and they continually achieve success above national college graduation rates. Their academic performance underscores the importance of the Cooperman Scholar program components, explicitly designed to help Scholars overcome obstacles that could otherwise derail their degree completion.
