Current Professional Status
Scholars who graduated between 2020 and 2023 shared updates on their career outcomes and graduate school enrollment. These career updates were classified into one of four categories below, which use definitions adopted in partnership with the Braven Careers Accelerator program. The career reports confirm that over 60% of Cooperman Scholars are currently employed in Quality Career Roles or enrolled in Graduate School. Just 3% are unemployed.
- Graduate School: currently enrolled and pursuing a graduate degree of study.
- Quality Career Role: a full-time role that requires a bachelor’s degree and includes some combination of promotion pathways, employee benefits, and a market-competitive starting salary.
- Pathway Career Role: a role that does not require a bachelor’s degree but helps students’ financial sustainability, is aligned with career interests, and will likely lead to more career-accelerating possibilities through skill development.
- Non-quality Career Role: a role that does not require a bachelor’s degree, offers limited runway to additional career-accelerating opportunities, and is not aligned with the Scholars’ career interests.
